How the Quality Team Can Support Advisers, Assessors, and Managers in Member Organisations

Using a blended training and support approach through online, meetings, email, and telephone, the Advice NI’s Quality Team has developed an extensive support programme to help member organisation’s Advisers, Assessors, and Managers to develop good quality assurance processes.

The Quality Team is on hand to provide you with information and guidance and below are some of the ways we can support your organisation’s quality journey.

 

  1. Case Recording and Quality of Advice Audit training

Case Recording and Quality of Advice Audit training is a blended online course delivered in part through an online, anytime, pre-recorded session, followed by a one-off face-to-face online training session.  These training courses take place monthly and can be booked through the Advice NI training site.

 

  1. Quarterly Assessor Quality of Advice Audit workshops

Bespoke workshops for NIAQS Quality of Advice Assessors.  These training sessions are delivered via Zoom with additional follow-up support via telephone and email where requested.   The workshops consist of Practical guidance and support in completing and scoring Quality of Advice Audits on a range of topic areas.

  1. Bespoke One-to-one training support on carrying out Case File Reviews (CFR) on Advice Pro

Online live training and support with quality of advice Assessors to guide them through carrying out CFR’s through the Advice Pro medium. 

 

  1. Peer Review Support and Guidance

Provide support and guidance for any members interested in the peer review process either through internal processes with your Advisers or externally across organisations who don’t have capacity or have low numbers of Advisers and Assessors as support; bespoke sessions are available. 

 

  1. Delivering Adviser workshops

Bespoke workshops for Advisers.  These training sessions are delivered via Zoom.  The workshops consist of Practical guidance and support in Case Recording and completing and scoring Quality of Advice Audits.

 

  1. Adviser, Assessor, Manager support meetings

One to one support meetings are available for all member organisation Assessors and Managers on any quality topic such as trend analyses for quality, risk assessments and rating for Advisers and organisations. 

 

  1. Quality portal support

Bespoke workshops on the use of the online quality portal for member Assessors and Managers who are involved in the NIAQS quality process within their organisations. 

 

  1. The Quality Sub Group

The Quality Sub Group consists of 4 member organisations representatives and 2 Advice NI staff.  They continue to meet regularly behind the scenes to develop, review, and update policy guides. 

 

The year ahead,

Our main focuses with the year ahead will be to:

  • Continue to provide support using this blended approach to training and support.
  • Work closely with DfC and members with the review of quality standards, making it more effective and user-friendly.
  • Provide ongoing quality guidance and support to our members and ANI staff to assist their development and help them meet standard requirements.
