HMRC urges customers to file their Self Assessment tax returns ahead of the 31 January 2025 deadline to avoid a £100 late filing penalty. More than 7.4 million Self Assessment customers have already filed their tax return for the 2023 to 2024 tax year.
The Department for Communities has put additional support in place to assist Post Office card account and HM Government Payment Exception Service customers who are unable to access their benefit or pension payments during the Coronavirus pandemic.
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey MLA advised that her Department has been working with the big retailers to facilitate priority delivery slots for those who have been advised to shield by their GPs.
