This is such a difficult time for everyone across Northern Ireland, however it is a terrible time for those on the lowest incomes (both in and out of work) who have endured a decade of austerity.
The cost-of-living crisis is escalating in front of our eyes. Deaf and disabled people cannot wait for action to be taken. We have been severely impacted by the cost-of-living crisis. This is on top of extra costs that we as disabled people already face.

Through its Rights4Seniors digital training programme, Advice NI, a leading rights-based charity, has established a successful method for enabling older people, particularly those who are vulnerable, to navigate and use the Internet with confidence.
As part of Get Online Week we helped a group of older people boost their digital skills by showing them how to fill out online forms and demonstrating streaming music online.

In light of public health concerns associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, Northern Ireland’s president of Tribunals and The Appeals Service (TAS) have suspended all in-person oral tribunal hearings until further notice.
